Lifeword: Simple Tools for Sharing Jesus

by Cindy Allen

If you are like me, you have been inspired by these Go and Tell blogs.  You might even have some people in mind you want to share with, but where do you begin? I wanted to share some resources  available through the BMAA Lifeword media department.  They exist solely to share the gospel with the world. Many of us know that they are very active around the world, but they also have lots of resources for English speakers.

They can be accessed at  https://lifeword.org.  The first thing you will notice as you open the website is the question, “Who is Jesus to you?”  Just last Sunday my pastor offered that as a great opener to sharing the gospel with someone. I guess these Lifeword people know what they are doing. The website has many different podcasts available, targeting many different audiences.

I have listened to “Day by Day” with Clif Johnson many times, as he breaks the Bible down in a systematic way.

Blake Martin and his “Tailgate Talks” will resonate with the country folks (especially guys) out there.  Men will also relate to “Outdoor with Shaun Merrell”.

“Family Life Today” is a pretty self-explanatory title.

I always feel motivated when I listen to Jordan and Sarah Bowen.

Lori Cline is an excellent presenter.  Let’s remember to pray for Lori as she undergoes chemo treatments.

This is just a sampling of the shows available.

Another great resource is FOLLOW.  It is a discipleship program that it presented on-line.  The intent is to lead people into a relationship with Jesus and lead them into a deeper walk.  At the end of the program, the hope is that they can be partnered with a local BMA church to put what they have learned into practice and continue growing in their faith.  Yalanda Merrell is a great support as people walk through the program.

There are also many blogs published on the website.  They are organized by topic, making it easy to find just the one that fits your need.

If you follow the Lifeword Facebook page you will receive not only the podcast, but there are articles published almost daily to challenge, encourage, and teach.

I wanted to introduce you to this great resource and encourage you to share it with people you know.  We all know people who need encouragement.  They can find it at Lifeword.  Maybe someone is having questions, Lifeword answers questions.  And talk about easy, you can just text the website link to someone or share the articles on Facebook.

We live in the technology age, even though some of us are not that keen on it.  Let’s use these wonderful resources to spread God’s word and reach out to the people around us.

Prayer:  Dear Lord, thank you for gifting people with the skills and talents to provide a platform for your gospel to be shared on the internet.  Help us to use this resource for your honor and glory.  God as people interact with the Lifeword offerings, may they realize their need for you and seek a relationship with you.  Give them a desire to grow in their faith, seek out a Bible believing church, and serve you.  God help us to be bold in sharing you.  May we impact our world for you.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
